Vårt hem
We have a charming familyhouse in the centre of a little village Westouter (1500 people) (bakery, supermarket, cosy pubs and restaurant, just across the street) we have a large living room (tv, dvd, telenet, internet...) and kitchen , 3 sleepingrooms(one dubbel waterbed), 1 bathroom, 2 toilets, garage...
we also have a beautiful, private garden with a large terrace, just behind our garden there is a large playground with swings and sand pit for litte children and skate-ramps, football and basketballfield...for older kids. We have 1 car (1 espace renault 7 seats) and a necco scooter, 3 adult bikes (2 women, 1 man), 1 sportbike, 2 bicycles for kids

Westouter is a cosy, small village in Heuvelland. That is a region with beautiful green landscapes (lots of biking and walkingtrails, horseriding, survival..) nearby Ypres and Poperinge ; places of great historical interest concerning the First Worldwar: battlefields around Ypres and in the north of France, churchyards, museums (e.g."In Flanders Fields" in Ypres...)
We have some good restaurants nearby (1 michelin star In de wulf dranouter). The sea is at 45km, historical cities as Lille(France)at 30km, Bruges at 50 km and Ghent at 80 km. Brussels is at 130 km and Paris at 250 km, Amsterdam (312 km). In Lille (france) you can take the eurostar to London (1h 20 min) to Paris (1 h) to Brussels (32 min)The first weekend of august, the Dranouter festival (3 days) takes place nearby (at 3 km), in our village there is a theatre-festival (spotsopwest) in july...

Our family : Frank (51) teacher of drama and theater , sofie (42) radio journalist, Lara is 14 and Lowie 12. We have a cat (Soekie) and 3 chickens. We like to visit small villages and cities of cultural interest. The kids love the sun and water during our holidays.
